I was brought on to brainstorm, design, and develop a prototype of a new e-commerce website as well as to create a whole new international brand.
My main challenge was how to make this website usable for consumers to shop for prosthetics and orthotics in Nigeria. Plus how to transfer an online pdf based catalog into a full, interactive dynamic site with a purchasing portal. I definitely had my work cut out for me but I was up to the challenges presented.
I started with researching my user. To find out the reason why people are searching for orthotics, I found, was mainly related to war and other sad, traumatic memories. So I knew this site had to be calming and pleasant.
